10 Day California PCH Tour
This 9 night/10 day Pacific Coast Highway Tour starts in San Francisco and follows the coastline down to Los Angeles, with the possibility of organizing up to 3 fixtures along the way. We have offered some suggestions for things to do, but what you choose to do with your time is up to you.
Day 1 – Arrive into San Francisco
You will be met at the airport by a RTC representative and will be transferred in a private coach from the airport to your San Francisco hotel. Evening free to explore San Francisco your leisure.
Day 2 – Fixture San Francisco
Grab breakfast at the hotel before jumping on your San Francisco City Tour. Today is the opening game of your USA tour with a team that matches your players in age and ability. Follow up the match with a friendly meal or pint with your host team.
Day 3 – San Francisco Sightseeing
Sightseeing options abound today. Choices include:
- Visiting the Napa Valley Wine Country
- Heading to Muir Woods
- Alcatraz
- Catch a sports event (Giants at AT&T Park, 49er’s at Levis’ Stadium)
Day 4 – Pacific Coast Highway to Pismo Beach
Today will be a long drive by coach along the Pacific Coast Highway. In the morning, depart on your coach driving along Highway 1. Stop in Monterey to walk around, grab lunch in Big Sur and witness the elephant seats at Piedras Blancas before arriving into Pismo Beach in the early evening.
Day 5 – Pismo Beach with Fixture in Evening
Relax in Pismo Beach for the day. Suggested activities include renting dune buggies and riding the Pismo dunes. Catch up on emails home and take it easy until the afternoon. Second fixture with local team this evening followed by a light dinner and a pint.
Day 6 – Drive to Los Angeles
In the morning, hop onboard your bus headed for Los Angeles. There are options to stop in Santa Barbara, the Camarillo Outlets or Malibu. Arrive into Los Angeles nearby your host rugby team. The evening is free.
Day 7 – Los Angeles/Hollywood City Tour
Spend the morning and early afternoon touring Los Angeles and the Hollywood area. In the evening, catch a Los Angeles Sports event, either the Lakers or Clippers at Staples Center or the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.
Day 8 – Los Angeles with Evening Fixture
Your morning is free to explore Los Angeles however you wish. In the evening, head to your third fixture for a match, light dinner and socializing.
Day 9 – Los Angeles Sightseeing
- If you plan to do Disneyland, it is an all-day event. Head out in the morning and return in the evening.
- Universal Studios- it’s not quite as long a day as Disney, but will take several hours.
- Six Flags Magic Mountain for some of the most thrilling rides.
- Head up to Big Bear and do a little Alpine Skiing (season permitting).
- Or simply just enjoy Los Angeles at your leisure.
Day 10 – Fly back Home
